My first carving!

I started with a deer antler and carved a mermaid with an eel wrapped along her arm.

Her tail is the natural horn texture and I loved the way the bone ripples and moves...so fluid!

I mounted her on a slice of Brazilian Agate which accents her curves very nicely.

I learned a lot on this project as my past experience has been with clay and cement. I must admit, it's nice being able to add on to a sculpture when a mistake happens! All in all I'm happy with the results and I

loved the way my carving bench and air suction worked.
